I’VE project is now online

IVE website

Published: 08/03/2016

"I'VE - I have experienced" is an international project aiming at creating a tested system for the recognition of competences developed in workcamps. It is addressed to the thousands of volunteers who take part every year in what is the most widespread form of International Voluntary Service.

The partnership, coordinated by our member organisation Lunaria, has recently launched the new website of the project - http://www.ive-experienced.eu - where you can learn more about the methodology and I'VE system, the background of the project and the researches produced at its beginning, and the partner organisations.

At the current phase, the project is in its full implementation: along 2015, after the development of a desk and a field research, partners created the first draft of I'VE methodology, which is to be applied during evaluation sessions (Post-Camp Events) for groups of volunteers upon their return in the country of origin from their workcamp experience. From September until November 2015, around 400 volunteers participated in the piloting phase of this first version of the methodology. Their feedback, together with the one of the facilitators, is now being analyzed to improve the methodology and produce the final I'VE system. At the Alliance Technical Meeting 2016 in Estonia, beginning of March, the partners who piloted the methodology in their Post-Camp Events met and discussed the future improvements suggested by volunteers and facilitators.

The results of the overall project will be issued online and presented at the final conference, which will take place in Brussels on 2nd September 2016.

The project receives the support of the Italian National Agency through Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
